Tropical Storm Andres Downgraded
The tropical storm that was reported a few days ago as picking up steam off the coast of Mexico, has now officially been downgraded. Tropical Storm Andres, which just happens to be the first tropical storm of Pacific hurricane season has officially been downgraded to a tropical depression. While at one time winds were clocked upwards of 50 mph with signs that they may increase, they are now down to a fairly mild 35 mph.
At first its seemed as if Andres could pick up steam and potentially turn into an actual hurricane, those prospects have been completely eliminated. Carnival did choose to alter Mexican itineraries as a precaution (which was the right thing to do), those cruises effected will be still be sailing the new itineraries. Royal Caribbean also had a ship that would be sailing in the area but chose to not change the itinerary.
