The Greenlight For My First Cruise of ’09
Today is a great day for me. You see, although I do like to book my cruises as early as possible, that isn’t always the case. The person I do the bulk of my cruising with can’t get vacations approved until after the first of the year. Now that we have passed the first of the year, I can move on with some plans. In other words, I can now book my first cruise of the year.
If I had it my way, I would be boarding a ship right now, but since that is impractical, I will be looking at March for my first cruise of the year. What this means for me is a lot of planning crammed into a very short period of time. I will be looking to book something this week and of course, I want to get the best price possible. Therefore, over the next couple of days I will be using all of my tricks to find the best possible mixture of price, accommodations and itinerary. If that wasn’t enough I will also need to find a pre-cruise hotel (since I always like to fly in early) and airfare. January isn’t exactly the sweet spot for booking a “spring break” cruise. Hopefully with a little skill and a lot of luck, I can find a cruise at a price that I am comfortable with paying. So, stay tuned (subscribe to this blog) to see if I can make it happen.
