In just a few short hours I will be leaving to board my plane. It looks as if I have made it. Even though hurricane season is now hitting its peak as of now there has not been much activity. The first hurdle of getting to the Carnival Freedom has been cleared and I now am certain to at the very least make it to the ship. However, I will say that I was worried for a bit. This past week there was a tropical depression forming to the east of the Caribbean which was traveling west right into the path of my cruise ship. Fortunately, that tropical depression has since lost strength and is now not much of a threat. The bad news is there are new threats that will most likely have some impact on the cruise. In any case no matter what the weather patterns may bring I will be taking lots of notes, pictures and having lots of fun. So, until I return take care everyone.
