These days I usually do anytime seating whenever possible but before there was anytime seating this is what I would do. As soon as I board the ship (or right after my customary well aboard lunch) I would head to my dining room to see where I was seated. If I was unhappy I would ask when the Maitre'D would be available (on some ships he'll already be there), he'll usually be more than happy to switch your seats for you. That is when you slip him a couple of dollars. Its important to get there early as he will be more accommodating if you aren't the 50th person to ask him for the switch. Thanks for reading my blog.
