I am a 35 year old guy from Pittsburgh, PA who loves cruise vacations. As you can probably tell, I’m not a travel writer or even a writer what I do for a living has nothing to do with anything literary. It also has nothing to do with traveling. However, when I’m not at work my free time gets engulfed by my two passions; professional football and cruising.
“The Intelligent Cruiser.” The name may be deceiving since I’m probably no more intelligent than anyone else. What I am is a passionate about cruise vacations. This blog “Theintelligentcruiser.com” is not only an excuse for me to be fanatical about cruising but also a chance for me to help like-minded people.
What’s Theintelligentcruiser.com About?
When I first started cruising I was just like any other newbie, I had no clue what to expect. I was skeptical on whether or not cruising was right for me. I had reservations about if I would enjoy being “cooped” up on a cruise ship, costs associated with cruising and I even had anxiety about what would happen if I missed the ship.
Over time most of my fears have either been realized or debunked but one thing that has never went away was my desire to constantly improve my cruise vacation experience. I have had many conversations about the different aspects of cruising with friends, in forums and on board cruise ships. However, this blog really allows me to talk about my passions. I believe every time I get to go on a cruise, not only does it recharge my batteries but I find being unplugged from my everyday life a great opportunity to clear the clutter out of my mind. It truly is my belief that every time I cruise a grow a bit as a person.
Just for honesty’s sake I don’t want to attempt to present myself as some all knowing cruise guru, that would be completely untrue. What I am is someone who is interested in sharing what I know as well as learning from what others have to offer. My hopes are that this blog is a place where both of these tasks can be accomplished.
