In the past some of you have signed up to TheIntelligentCruiser.com through the use of the “subscribe” form located at the top of the screen. That form enabled you to have blog entries delivered directly to your email box whenever they were posted. In the future that will most likely be going away.
As you may have noticed I have added a sign up box to the sidebar. This new sign up box is the preferred method of subscribing to this blog. It allows for far more control in what is sent out to the readers. With this new method I am able to control how often you receive messages as well as more options for the type of messages. In other words instead of sending you out messages whenever something is posted I can now opt to group them together to send them out bi-weekly or monthly lessening the amount of email you get from this website.
This new way of signing up also allows me to do many other things such as send out a monthly newsletter, run subscriber only contests and giveaways or alert you to deals I find around the web. For the time being I will keep the box up top but that will probably be going away by the end of the month since anything that one can do this can do much better. The only downside is those of you who have signed up in the past will have to re-submit your email address. I’m trying a couple of different things to see what all works and what doesn’t. Well, that and I like playing with new toys.
